Key Verse: “Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press

on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do
not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies
                                               14
behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the

Spain was a powerful nation. In the early 15 century, when the nation minted
coins, they had inscribed Ne Plus Ultra which meant: “Nothing further.” They
thought the world's ultimate was Spain and its shores. In 1492, Columbus set sail
into unknown waters to an unknown destination. When they understood the New
World they changed their inscription: Plus Ultra meaning: “More Beyond.” The
nation awoke to new realities and new possibilities.

Wise should not boast of his wisdom, mighty of his strength and rich o his
riches; instead knowing Him. (Jeremiah 9:23-24)
